I don't get it. The last Modern Warfare game was complete garbage, Ghosts was also not very well liked. People also suddenly forgot that IW is the worst of the three CoD devs by far so this is literally just a nostalgia cash grab. CoD 4 was a masterpiece, MW2 was flawed but fun and then CoD mostly just turned to shit with the exception of BO2. Sorry but you can't build a game's entire hype around Captain Price returning (they didn't even cast the same voice actor lul).

The game is probably going to end up being bad, but IW has had a recent influx of old talent. Post MW2, a lot of devs left IW and formed Respawn. The team left behind did a meh job with every title since, but most of the OG team is back for this title so.... there is a little hope.

It'd be cool to see more Halo pros show why we make the best gamers though :lxthul:

I understand the argument for Halo but that's CoD - a much bigger fish. I can't really speak on the success of Overwatch but it seems to be doing really well.

The biggest problem I see for CoD is that franchising comes with new team names. That was okay for Overwatch, a new game, but tradition bears a lot of the popularity for CoD through orgs like nV, OG, Faze, Complexity, etc. It wouldn't be the end of the world, but it hurts to not have the brand directly attached.

Not a ton.  150/20 is MORE than enough to get good matches.  The big thing is to make sure you're playing on a wired connection if you aren't already, the difference is night and day.

Also, if one has an old router, upgrading can be hugely beneficial. This is especially true when one has high down/up and the new router supports smart queue management which alleviates buffer bloat. Some old routers can have their firmware flashed with OpenWRT or similar projects to support SQM as well.

  4. On the topic of BO4 is body armor still obnoxious like it was in the beta? I remember the PC version devolving into snipers and body armor.

For multiplayer, it generally adds 1 bullet to the number needed to kill. The prevalence of fmj and the ammo specialist makes it balanced considering how powerful the other choices are as well.

I’m blackout it is still rough if you don’t have armor.

  5. The bullet magnetism on the AR is really something else. People light me up from across the map on the pit lmao.

p.s. im looking for thehalo 3 hud too. idk what it'd be called. I just want all the extra visor effects removed.

In FMM (foundation mod manager), you want to pick the mod called "Halo 3 Visors" by Zero524

  6. Could this game run on a decently new laptop? Assuming yes seeing as it's capped at 60fps, and it's basically just H3.

I have a laptop with a 1050ti 4gb, and an i5-7300hq. The game seems to be optimized poorly, because neither my gpu nor cpu go over 50% utilization and stay around ambient temperature, but I still get fairly bad stuttering even on low settings. Tried turning on triple buffering, and toggling the ingame vsync with no success. The fpslimiter is off as well. Maybe you will have better results?

Edit: Something seems to have changed between two days ago and today. My CPU is maxing out at 100% utilization and the game is running very smoothly now. Your laptop will probably run this fine.
