  1. So I'm getting tired of playing unfinished shooters on the PC such as Battlegrounds and H1Z1, so I'm trying to find a game to fill the void. CS is not my cup of tea and since Halo previously was my bae from the H2 up to Reach v7 eras. I guess I should ask some questions that I'm curious how long time competitive players feel about the current state of Halo 5: So I played H4 for 3 months and quickly figured out that the game was not competitively viable. I despised sprint from reach and wasn't happy that they introduced it back into H4 plus other abilities and thats about were I fell off. Since H5 features sprint, clamber, and other movement options that I'm not accustomed to; Do you enjoy or feel like it fits in this game competitively? Does it feel good or clunky compared to previous games? Maps were another huge issue that developed in Reach, I played reach competitively and hated bloom, sprint, and abilities. But also it sucked that most of the vanilla maps were not competitively viable which resorted to a lot of forge maps. IMO I enjoyed watching and playing Reach v7 but once H4 came out I could clearly see that they were wanting to steer this game another direction instead of the traditional 4v4 sized maps. And the 4v4 maps were, to be honest, awful. Do you like the maps that are used? Are the maps well thought out? I enjoy watching some of these matches at the HCS Daytona and noticed how much the game has changed. I want to have something to improve at, so how is the ranking system? Does this game have replay-ability? Are the playlist popular? I remember I would get bored in Reach because of no ranking system, my teams never had communication or were new to the scene. Finally, is it worth buying in your opinion or are we banking on H6 at this point? Lel Thanks homies for your answers, I member how rewarding H2/H3 felt with its gameplay and ranking system and am looking for something to fill that void that I feel like most games today miss.
  2. Alright so I'm having a real problem with this community, not necessarily you guys but the halo community as a whole. Since this launch I have been really disappointed in matchmaking but not just because of the bugs, but because of who I'm getting matched up with/against. First off the amount quitters is TOO DAMN HIGH! Seriously, I have been going into matchmaking alone and 80% of the games that I play will have someone quit. This concerns me personally because my love for halo is starting to drop off because of this. Second, why am I being paired up with split screeners (guest) in the HCS playlist?!?! It is practically a guaranteed loss. And since the HCS is the premier "competitive" playlist then I shouldn't be getting paired up with these (hate to say it) casuals. Plus I believe that the HCS playlist should NOT let guest play, instead recommend the casual playlist. Lastly, communication.... where are the people with mics? I want to be able to talk to my teammates not only because I want to win, but because I want to have fun with people and I want to get to know the people who play this game that we all share a common bond with. Yes I get it, they are working on it! And once ranks get introduced it should eliminate these problems, but these problems shouldn't be pushed off because apparently they will eventually be fixed! No, to me these problems are keeping me from playing the game that I love. A competitive game that I shouldn't have to worry about who I'm being matched up with because there should be evenly balanced teams EVERY game. I also shouldn't have to worry about quitters or any of that bs because it should have been taken seriously in the first place. And this isn't necessarily all in 343i's hands, the community needs to quit being busters! I miss the times were I could go into a playlist ALONE and expect to play a competitive fun game, and also enjoy the game with other people that love the game just as much as me. This game was supposed to bring all of this "nostalgia" back to me, but I remembered a community that I loved to play with back in H2/3 and since then this feeling has sadly been lost.

  4. Hey I just got it a couple days ago via digital copy, It says i have 59.1GB of the game. How many GBs is yours with the update, just incase mine didn't update.
  5. My Astro A40's lasted about 4 years now, but unfortunately they crapped out on me recently. I plan on buying a new pair of astros however I'm not %100 sure what I need for XB1. Also I need astro's that will be tournament legal (apparently no wireless anything) so A50's are a no go. What do I need and what astros should I get (I plan on getting a mixamp too). Another thing is that I had a wired controller for the 360 for reduce latency and plus it was tourney legal. So since xbox one controllers can't be flat out wired (as far as I know), do I have to get the rechargeable battery pack and the charging chord for my set up to be tournament legal? I've been watching the MCC invitational and I've been looking at their set ups but I can't really figure it out.

  7. What's up guys? I'm from Lafayette, however as of right now I'm living in Indianapolis because I am currently going to IUPUI. Just got my XB1 and pre-ordered MCC, so I'm pretty hyped! I've been playing competitively since H3, but H2 will diffidently be the game that I'm grinding probably. Looking to go to some locals hopefully and maybe even big tourneys eventually. So add me, GT: GenesisTheGreat

  9. Hey we just played yesterday in some 4v4 customs, I'll add u for some 2v2 scrims. And Yah idk if its 25 or 50 i wish they would clarify that. However we've already played some scrims and they had the same question and 50 is just to slow obviously.

  11. On another note of non BTB maps; I wouldn't be surprised if they remade Foundation for the purpose of Infection. Foundation zombies was one of the most fun game types I have ever played (considering you could get everyone into one room and push boxes to blockade the door from zombies).
  12. Thank you for clarifying! Yah I doubt I will be playing H2A that much either but I'm kind of iffy about the new players coming on to this game and expecting a really good game because of all the hype and being turned off because of all of these additions to H2A (because you know the newer players will be playing that because of the graphics instead of the older game). Good to hear though that H2 is still untouched, and it betta stay that way unless they wanna fight about it #bigwhoopwannafightaboutit
  13. Regarding the 343i panel at RTX: Ohh Q&A how you always disappoint... Personally I think that this panel was obviously catered towards the casuals considering that it is rooster teeth. However, I can't be the only one that is worried about all these changes. They are tinkering with the sandbox (I'm not sure if that will occur in H2A and classic H2 or not). What really kind of ticks me off is when one of the guys said that Halo 2A is basically H2++, because its Halo 2 but with all of the technology we have today helps them add a good amount of features......... And I'm like Spectator Mode PLOX? (Don't get me wrong though I'm still psyched, I'm just worried)
  14. I've been playing a good amount of H3 and H4 lately and I've noticed how silent it is when I was playing the competitive playlist. I hate this when I'm playing Halo 3 because I am trying to win for a higher rank, and my teammates will either be in party chat or have no mic at all. I personally miss the H2/H3 prime days when practically everyone had a mic and was willing to communicate as a team. I don't mind if I'm playing like a social playlist and my team mate has no mic or is in a party chat. But I personally feel when I'm playing ranked that at least the party chat people should be kicked out of their chat. I remember playing I think Call of Duty MW2 (I know I'm a fayget :maven: ) when we would play certain playlist (I think hardcore) that you couldn't be in party chat in game. It would force people to communicate (which in COD didn't really force anything but people talking shit and trolling, but in Halo it would be different) which would be a good thing in Halo. This should be the only thing we should of took from COD The way it's looking is that when MCC drops I feel like this trend of no communication will continue. I just hope that 343i will force the party chat people to get out of that chat, and maybe even possibly force people that play in a ranked playlist to have a mic. Just my opinion, but does anybody else feel the same?
  15. That's awesome to see! One of my favorite things to do ever in a video game!
