  1. Lmao. Were still only playing 3 gametypes in H5 after a year. This game has more problems than one in specific.

  4. Dont think so. the rigs default doesnt have a Song of peace suppressor nor a rail gun. I know Regret and truth have gone through some changes also.
  5. I feel like BR starts would solve a lot in the "Autos too good" debate. Halo 5 is extremely well balanced imo. Auto's win up close, like theyre supposed to. Pistol is a great utility weapon that doesnt overpower or underperform. Adding quicker/more bloom on Autos is the best way to go imo
  6. Well, not for arena. But i honestly like the idea of armor abilities. Or at least equipment. I would like sprint to stay a function in things like warzone, campaign, firefight, possibly btb. But competitive Halo with no sprint just feels so damn good.
  7. In a great game thats bogged down by insanely stupid design choices, this has to be downright the WORST FFA in any Halo by far. The infuriating amount of storm rifles they place on maps like riptide only add to this ailment.
  8. One of the reasons competitive players denied Reach was because of the inconsistencys of Bloom. A person controlling their shots could be out shot by someone spamming theirs, which led to too many infuriating losses. But CE's pistol feels wildy innacurate, even if you paced shots. So why did Reach get bloom hate but not CE?
  9. Awesome. Thanks you guys. I know reach dmr is more innacurate, i just feel like the comparisons are def there. Since launch ive heard about the terrible CE port on MCC so its got to be that.
  10. Does holding the trigger make it less accurate? Compared to tapping? And yeah im playing on MCC and its extremely unreliable. But still the best weapon.
  11. With Xfinity sponsoring the HCS, i was wondering if anyone could confirm the quality of their $60 a month plan. Im gearing up to dive into the competitive scene for Halo and Gears so i want to know what the best internet to go with is.
  12. I think all armoe abilities shouod come back. But keep them the hell out of competitive play. I want the sprint button to return to the armor ability button.

  15. I think The 4 was worse. Reach's non-competitve aspect was amazing. And it's title update 343 gave had great potential from the beginning. The 4 could've been a vastly superior game with two things and two things only. -descope -better focus on sprint balancing (or remove it entirely)
  16. But I also don't understand. I'll use Super Smash Brothers Melee as an example. A 15 year old game. Roughly the same age as Halo CE. Has a HUGE scene in E-Sports and has never been stronger. They don't have an efficient online play. Which leads the scene to be forced to group together in person. We fought tooth and nail to be recognized and accepted by Nintendo. Even after all the reluctance and negativity they through at the Melee scene. I've been trying to do this for a while. But why the heck don't we, as a community, start working on gathering a strong and unified scene? We have all the options available to make a huge comeback. MCC. Crazy awesome amount of customization in Halo 5. Why don't we, as a unified community, attempt to SHOW 343i that the people of Halo don't want sprint?
  17. I think they did a great job balancing sprint in this one. Bar thruster pack, all of the spartan abilities are highly punishable when used wrong. This video, at one point, trys to say that sprint adds an unfair balance by saying "oh, I'm sprinting and he's not so he gets the first shot" well...no duh? In fact, due to that scenario, I believe sprints balance is achieved because you can't act like Sanic and still get kills. The inability to recharge shields while sprinting isn't clunky at all imo. There have been many scenarios where the guy ran away, and I was able to call it out to a teammate, or I read his movement and still had a heavy upper hand many seconds later. With that said, of course I would love to see sprint taken away.
  18. That would be cool. I would be down to start playing H4 again. But how would you guys handle DLC? would we be playing on disc maps? Only because it would suck to be cut from any of your events because I dont want to re-buy all those crummy maps. Also, Halo 3 online? I would probably never put in any money for that haha. Halo 4 and Reach is a way better choice to go with in terms of online tournament and competitive play.

  20. I don't see much discussion on competitive gaming rather than CoD or Halo so I thought this would be a fresh take. Does anyone here play Smash Bros. competitively or watch it? I plan on attending EVO 2014
  21. I heard they are doing a reset on CSR soon. I think they should take this time to make a separation between social and ranked playlists. Things like: -Team Slayer -SWAT/Snipers -Team Doubles -A return of Squad Battle playlist which includes a variety of skirmish and slayer variants -Rumble Pit Could all be ranked, while other things like : -Big Team Infinity -Flood -Multi Team -Action Sack Would all be social A rough draft of things that could keep the playlist under control but gives a lot of options in my opinion. What playlists do you think would keep the matchmaking experience fresh?
