Xbox One Game Gifting Coming Soon

By: Devin Sidhu | July 7th, 2017

One of the most popular features of Steam for PC gamers is the ability to gift purchased games to friends. Yesterday, Xbox’s corporate VP, Mike Ybarra took to Twitter to tease this feature coming soon to the Xbox One.

Currently, the Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch all have no way to gift games to friends aside from sending a gift card their way. The closest feature is game sharing on the PS4, but it’s not quite the same. This will make the Xbox the first console to allow game gifting in some form or fashion.

This news follows up a slew of news coming out yesterday, including Halo 5: Guardians getting a 4K upgrade and all previous titles becoming backwards compatible with LAN play later this year. To read up on that, head here.
