With the latest Preview Alpha build, Microsoft announced that the Xbox One GameDVR will allow players to capture gameplay in 1080p. The current standard only allows 720p footage to be recorded. Also included in the Preview Alpha is the ability to save recorded game clips straight to an external hard drive. This has been a huge request for Xbox fans as being able to save footage directly to an external hard drive makes transferring those files to a PC much easier.
Xbox Insiders are able to check out the Preview Alpha build now with a final release expected later this year. GameDVR is the only feature getting major updates with this Preview Alpha as most of the other changes deal with minor fixes and added languages. Once a specific date is nailed down as to when this build is live for everyone, we will be sure to let you know.
