Electronic Arts announced this week that the multiplayer beta for Star Wars Battlefront II will take place on October 6th and will wrap up on October 9th. But if you want to get a two day head start, make sure you pre-order the game to enjoy the beta starting on October 4th. The open beta will show off two main modes within the game’s multiplayer suite.
The first mode will allow players to try out the 40-person battles which take place in Theed, the capital city of Naboo. Players will chose to side with the Republic clone troopers, or the Separatist droid army. Within each side, there will be four playable classes. Those classes are Assault, Officer, Specialist, and Heavy. EA has also hinted at ‘beloved Star Wars heroes’ being available to play.
The other mode is called Starfighter Assault, but not many details have been given about the specifics of this game mode. EA has revealed that this mode will involve a multi-stage, massive space battle. EA will show off a full reveal of Starfighter Assault next month at Gamescom in Germany.
The Star Wars Battlefront II Open Beta will be available for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Windows PC. Make sure you jump into the beta before the game officially launches on November 17th.
