It was only a few months ago when Microsoft released their new policies for the Xbox platform. These policies sparked tons of excitement from all sorts of gamers. Cross Platform Play was finally happening, and Rocket League was going to be the first to capitalize on it.
Today, Psyonix Inc. is officially rolling out the appropriate updates to Rocket League to enable cross-platform gameplay between Xbox and PC. Here’s what they had to say about the new feature:
It’s an historic moment for us here at Psyonix, and we’re really excited to bring Xbox One and Steam PC players closer together. Cross-network play has been something that Xbox One gamers have been asking us for since the day we launched, and thanks to Microsoft’s new cross-network policies, we’re proud to give it to them.
Additionally, they’ve added a convenient option for players who wish to disable the feature and only play with other users on their platform of choice.
