The Overwatch Summer Games, the very first seasonal Overwatch event, is returning for a second year of festivities.
The Summer Games event offers new and returning character cosmetics as well as the Lucioball Arcade mode, a soccer-style arena competition played exclusively with Lucio. Unlike the 2016 event, the 2017 Summer Games will introduce for the first time a competitive Lucioball playlist! Akin to Overwatch’s standard Competitive Play mode, Competitive Lucioball will allow players to climb the ranks in the Lucio-themed competition.
This year’s Overwatch Summer Games loot boxes will include all previous Summer Games cosmetics (skins, highlight intros, emotes, etc.) as well as new unlockables—Soldier: 76, Sombra, and Mercy pictured below.
You can take a full look at all of the Overwatch Summer Games items on the event’s official landing page. The event is now live on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Battle.net on PC. Discuss the new and improved Summer Games with our community!
