Overwatch Halloween Event Dates Leaked

By: Connor Murphy | October 1st, 2017

From the ever-watchful eyes of Reddit, new images emerged promoting October’s Halloween special event for Overwatch. Though it comes as no surprise that Blizzard would hold a holiday celebration for the popular shooter, there has yet to be an official announcement.

The implication drawn from the second image is that the event will go live Tuesday, October 10, which makes sense considering last year’s event started October 11 (which fell on a Tuesday). As to the appearance of one of last year’s skins on the 2017 promotion, Game Rant theorizes Blizzard doesn’t want any new material appearing before their official reveal. They’re expecting an official announcement for Halloween’s special event October 9.

Last year’s Overwatch Halloween event introduced the game’s first ever mission-style PvE experience in the form of Junkenstein’s Revenge, a wave defense survival mode with varying difficulty options. It is unknown if this mode is set to return in 2017.
