Today OpTic Gaming parted ways with Clayster and ProoFy from their competitive roster, this is one of the more major team changes to happen since the release of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare this week. Below are statements released by both players regarding the situation and their future plans:
So, I’m sure many of y’all know what the deal is, but I’ve been released from OpTic. It really isn’t what I wanted but things happen in the gaming world and it was an honor and a pleasure teaming with these guys for almost a year. 10 months is a long time on one team, and I had such a good time competing and hanging out with these guys over in OpTic that I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m not sure this is how I wanted my stint on OpTic to end but I did everything in my power to prevent my termination. Granted, I knew it was coming because after G3 I was told I was dropped and then later in the day was asked back on the team, so I knew it was inevitable, but it still sucks, hard.
I, firstly, want to say thank you to Hector and Matt for bringing me on board and giving me a huge opportunity to better myself and my career. That is something I can’t say enough about. I think the world of these guys and wish them nothing but luck in their future endeavors.
Secondly, thanks to Seth and Jordan for the hardwork every one of us put into this team. We came out of it with a lot to show (medals boiiii) and the success we had is something I’ll always remember. I honestly had a ton of fun goofing around with y’all and being dumb, hope we all can remain good friends throughout the transition.
Thirdly, I really appreciate Flamesword, Big T, Diesel, and all the other OpTic guys for making me feel at home. This is the first time a team has completely felt like a family to me, and it’s all because of their kindess. These are some of the nicest and most kind-hearted guys in the business, and I really thank them for going out of their way to make me feel at home.
Lastly, massive, MASSIVE, shoutout to the Greenwall. Y’all have shown me what it truly means to be a supporter, and the massive outpouring of passion y’all have for us is one of the best feelings I’ve ever had. It felt really good to be ON the Greenwall’s side instead of against it. I don’t think anything will quite match walking into the booths with the crowd roaring, or the fire in y’alls eyes when we clutch up a series. I think this is what I’ll miss most about OpTic and I really want to thank you guys for being so awesome. The insane outpouring of support for me on OpTic is something I couldn’t fathom until I was on the team. I really do appreciate you guys sticking up for me and trying to do your best to have my back when nobody else would, and it means a lot that y’all liked me on the team as much as (most) of you did. Couldn’t have done it without y’all.
So yeah! That’s that, I have plenty to say on the issue but I feel like this was lengthy enough. I hope y’all support me regardless of where I end up (tbd) and who knows what the future may hold.
Stay Golden, Much love <3, peace out
p.s. I’ll make a YT video either today or tomorrow talking about this more in depth.
My time on OpTic Gaming has come to an end, was a blast playing with and bettering my friendship with those guys. Got live in Cali for a month to do some of the coolest training exercises Ill always remember and be thankful for. Bringing a championship home to the fans who I know bring the most noise and love for the time I was on the team 😀 Im just happy I can say I’ve brought more than one to the #GreenWall you guys deserve it and hopefully see many more 1st place finishes! As to the OG lineup, wish you all the best and goodluck in the future I know that team will in no way, shape or form disappoint the fans. With that being said F/A and only in time will I have a destination and idea as to what I want to do. Thanks again <3
