New Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Gameplay

Bethesda’s Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus continues its rollout of gameplay footage and story details. The latest trailer, titled “NO MORE NAZIS!”, shows a game looking to continue the success of 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order. It’s dystopian, fast-paced, gory, and oddly humorous, watch it!

As we’ve previously discovered, the Nazis took full control of the American heartland by 1961. Manhattan is a wasteland. They’ve walled off New Orleans, much in the fashion of historical Warsaw’s infamous ghettos, where they’re systematically burning the city and its inhabitants. As Nazis parade the streets and demand loyalty from their subjects, protagonist BJ Blazkowicz and his team organize a resistance. It’s time to put the “fight” back in the American people.

This trailer features a variety of smooth-looking gameplay, with more ways to kill the oppressors than ever. The cast of characters looks zany and add brightness to an otherwise dismal situation in post-war America. Personally, I’m stoked for this sequel. The New Order was a great shooter, and The New Colossus looks like it’s only advancing the formula and raising the stakes.

Get Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus on October 27, 2017. It’s available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC initially, with a 2018 release date announced for Nintendo Switch.
