Since PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds “early access” release three months ago, developer Bluehole has been able to push out regular updates on a consistent basis. Just recently at E3, Bluehole revealed the new climbing and vaulting features that will be coming to the game later this year. But before those features drop, there is an impressive update dropping before the end of this month titled, “Loot Balance – First Pass.”
With this update, Bluehole will address a bug where items either were spawning more or less than they intended. On top of that, they will also be adjusting the spawns of weapons and items based on data analysis. This is Bluehole’s “first real pass at adjusting the loot balance.”
With this update there are also two new guns that will be added. The first being the Groza which is a close to medium ranged assault rifle. You can only acquire this weapon in air-drop care packages. This will replace the VSS sniper rifle, which now will spawn at random. The second new gun being added to the PUBG arsenal is a 9mm pistol called the P18C. This will spawn at random and has a fully automatic mode. Below is the “Changelog” for the upcoming patch that includes more details of the upcoming update.
Official patch notes which will be more detailed are expected before the release of this new update which will be out before the end of June. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently only available in early access on PC, but will be releasing for Xbox One before the end of the year.
