During the PC Gaming Show E3 conference, Intel spokesman Doug Fischer showcased Intel’s investment in virtual reality technology through esports. In an effort to draw more players into the scene, Intel has partnered with the VR technology company Occulus to give all Rift owners a free copy of Echo Arena, a competitive five-versus-five arena sports game, when the game launches in July.

Echo Arena will join Insomniac’s one-versus-one magic duel game The Unspoken as part of the Intel sponsored VR Challenger Series, the world’s first VR eSports league. Competitions will run in Europe and North America with finalists in each game attending a final, live competition at IEM Katowice 2018.
