With the release of Destiny 2, many players who have already completed the main story have begun to gather exotics and prepare for the Raid, which will become available on September 13th. Many exotics have questlines attached to them, one of them being Sturm. Getting this early exotic could be a huge help to those trying to pass the 265 Power plateau, so read on to learn how to get Sturm in Destiny 2!
The path to the Sturm begins with obtaining its sister legendary sidearm—Drang.
Step 1: To do so, players must have completed the main story and have reached level 20. From there, head to Nessus and pick up all of Failsafe’s quests (which have a navy blue icon on the map) and complete them. When completed, the Drang will be dropped into your inventory.
Step 2: Once you have the Drang, you’ll have to kill ten Fallen with it, and decrypt one exotic and five legendary engrams.
Step 3: The next step of the quest is a bit more tricky. You’ll have to get 10 multi-kills (at least 3 quick kills) on Fallen without reloading using Drang. Secondly, you’ll have to kill 10 Fallen that have yellow health bars with Drang. To do this, look in Fallen-occupied Lost Sectors on Earth and Nessus, as each one will have a major at the end. Fallen high-value-targets that appear in the world will also count. That said, the easiest method is through Public Events. The Glimmer Extraction and Ether Servitor events will throw a healthy amount of major Fallen at you to help you along this step.
Step 4: After a little bit of speaking to vendors, the final step will be to complete the quest with the Exodus Crash strike on Nessus. Near the end of the strike, you’ll find a named Servitor in the wreck of a ship. Take him down, and the exotic hand cannon, The Sturm will be yours.
