Halo 5: Guardians Has Potentially Gone Gold (46GB Game Update) | Beyond Entertainment

With only a month to go until the launch of Halo 5: Guardians, it should be any day now that we’ll be hearing that the game is finished – or that has ‘gone gold’. Overnight, on September 25th, players who have pre-ordered Halo 5: Guardians through the Xbox One will have noticed their game size jump from roughly 100MB to 46.19GB.

If you look at the Halo 5: Guardians icon, you’ll notice a small orange asterisk, meaning that the game has recently been updated. The Xbox.com page for Halo 5: Guardians was also updated to include the new 46.19GB file size.

While an official announcement has yet to come out of 343 Industries or Microsoft, it looks like Halo 5: Guardians is finished and players can now begin pre-loading it to their Xbox Ones a month in advance, similar to Halo: The Master Chief Collection last year.
