One of the praises of Halo 5: Guardians is its steady 60 frames-per-second gameplay and its beautiful graphics and set pieces. However, with the announcement of the Xbox One X, many fans wondered if we would ever see a performance increase for the current mainline Halo title.

343 Industries has just announced that alongside bringing all four Xbox 360 Halo titles to Backwards Compatibility, Halo 5: Guardians will also be receiving a patch that allows the game to run at native 4K on Xbox One X.
On the Backwards Compatibility front, it was also revealed that all Xbox 360 DLC for Halo (map packs and add-ons) will be made free for all to download. Halo CE: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 will all be playable on Xbox One and even will support LAN play between Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.
