Microsoft’s souped-up home console, the Xbox One X, launches on November 7th. Alongside the launch of the new console, four of Xbox’s backwards compatible titles will receive updates to improve their graphical fidelity. Take a look at the new Halo 3 Xbox One X upgrades!
Halo 3, Fallout 3, Assassin’s Creed, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will all be receiving day one Xbox One X updates. One of the notable upgrades for the backwards compatible titles is the change from 8-bit to 10-bit color, which allows for a more detailed and vibrant color palette for each of the games.
Similarly to Halo 3’s port within The Master Chief Collection, in-game assets and textures will appear more crisp and detailed when playing the 360 version on Xbox One X. It has not been stated whether or not Halo 3 will be running at 4K resolution on the new console, but its resolution certainly has been improved to some degree.
