This was such a nice tweet until the last sentence.

First off, long time no see everybody!

This tweet was not meant to come after the community and say we were not appreciative of the support Halo fans gave Allegiance. It was more me reflecting on our time in Halo and comparing it to the time we have been out of it. I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that there are not many Halo fans in the game's current state and we felt that way all of 2017. Since we made the announcement about our departure, we have received more messages and emails talking about Allegiance Halo than when we were actually in the game with a team. It's pretty eye opening to be honest - really cool actually.

Even if you disliked my tweet, my point was don't take the orgs that are in Halo for granted. Support them by purchasing their weapon skins, apparel, and interact with their social media. Your support will not go unnoticed. Even if they don't acknowledge you, they see it and enjoy the backing of their fans. To this day I still read all your tweets and it puts a smile on my face thinking back on all the great memories we had in Halo.

Sorry to everyone I offended.

Going to be a bit blunt here, but in this long, rambly post...you've basically just restated the same things we as a community have said over and over for quite a while...

For those coming into the thread wanting a TLDR:

  • Communication from 343 is Piss Poor - We never know what's going on or why decisions are made.
  • Transparency in general from 343 is Piss Poor - We never know who's really in charge of the decisions that ARE made.
  • MLG (and UGC) need to be able to host (more) events. - Instead of people with tiny budgets (even though Esports Arena was okay)
  • Lack of Published Schedules / Plans is UNACCEPTABLE. - Not knowing what's ahead makes people apprehensive.  Not having any idea makes them frustrated.
  • Storylines aren't being built, so no one gets invested. - Rivalries and up-and-comer stories are glossed over and not built up as hype machines.
  • EVERYONE, but especially pros, need to create more content - Ryanoob is god.
  • Roster instability hurts the scene. - Not that we can stop it, but...it happens.

These are the core points in the Wall of Text above and things we've beaten into the ground at TeamBeyond + on Twitter.  But just coming from someone in a bit more official stance.

The first two bullets above are the main things that cause everything else to boil over so easily.  Lack of communication is unacceptable.

So you agree with everything I said?

The purpose of this post was to put it all into one place. I'm not trying to take all the credit for the ideas written in this piece. I definitely took some ideas from things I've heard from community members and players but put it into my own words.

If they made worlds they would still be in halo. Don't give me any side talk about 343s future plans etc especially when they got skins without being a pro league team. They can do what they want but at least just say the team underperforming was the biggest reason. Anything else is nonsense.

If I recall correctly I think I started off by saying we made our decision based on our poor performances recently. That was the biggest reason. It was no ones fault but our own.

I believe we were the longest standing org other than EG, just an FYI. We got skins because of our previous successes - I think we got 2nd at Worlds in 2016.

Halo Community,

As of today, Allegiance will be withdrawing from the Halo scene after a few unsuccessful seasons in the Halo Pro League.

Seventeen months ago was the launch of Allegiance and it all began in Halo after signing a team that eventually made a historical run at the 2016 Halo World Championship. Allegiance placed 2nd at the World Championship – we made it on the esports map! This was the beginning for Allegiance and it was the best start for an organization a new owner could ask for. Due to our success the first year it gave us the opportunity to expand into new games, and for that I’ll always remember Halo as the place that started it all. I’m extremely grateful and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Unfortunately, we haven’t seen that same prosperity, and our vision in Halo doesn’t align any longer with the future plans for the competitive scene. This has lead us to announce our departure from competitive Halo and we want to thank all of our fans for the support since our founding of the organization. We truly appreciate everything you guys have done for Allegiance and welcoming us with open arms in 2015!

He hasn't been coaching Str8 scrims for a bit now I think so that explains that. Also has connections to ALG through being marketing director for MoneyMatches. Wonder what Str8 do about a coach now.

Just as a heads up to everyone - we are no longer partnered with Money Matches as of the beginning of February. I'm unfamiliar with why Hoaxer departed from Str8 Rippin but we purely recruited Emanuel because of his strong coaching talent.
