So I gave up on my idea of building a PC last year, but I'm starting to think about it again. I know it has been recommended against slowly buying the parts over a couple of months, but that will probably be my only option. Anyway, I really have no idea what I'm doing. I did some minimal reading, looked back at old posts, and threw together a parts list if you guys wouldn't mind giving me some feedback on it. Not trying to set the world on fire here, just want 1080p/60fps. Just want to make sure I'm not putting parts together that have no business being together.

Looks good!

Won't be finishing the build until January (hoping to get people to buy me some pieces for Xmas to save a little money) but the way GPUs have been disappearing lately I decided to pull the trigger now on this guy. No turning back now!

Thing is the majority of games I play on PC are either pretty old or otherwise low-end (2d Indie).  That is one of the main draws to PC gaming, being able to play games from every era on the same machine.

I'm sure being a new gaming PC owner you're first going to want games that actually take full advantage of your hardware though.

Doom2016

Darksouls 1 and 3.  DS2 is decent but a significant departure in a lot of ways, arguably lower graphics than both too.

Rainbow Six Siege

Quake Champions (when it's patched / F2P).

Overwatch (Plays better on PC and the graphics are much better.)

Rust / PUBG

GTA5

Fallout 4

Skyrim (Absolutely demolish it with combat overhaul and graphic enhancement mods.)

Metro 2033 Redux

Arkham Series (Not sure what state Arkham Knight is in, probably fine now).

Honestly playing games that you regularly play on Xbox or Playstation just look so much better on PC. It worth replaying some of your favorite titles in 60/120fps or in 1080/1440/4k.

If you want some PC exclusive stuff.

Quake / Unreal / CSGO if you want that FPS multiplayer life.

Black Mesa (half life remade)

Amnesia  (horror)

A Story About My Uncle (platforming)

Cloudbuilt (also platforming)

Diablo 3 (I know its on console, but its a completely different experience)

Planet Coaster (Old devs of Roller Coaster Tycoon)

Undertale (recently released on PS4, but yeah, still an amazing game)

Momodora III (metroidvania that seems simple on the front, but offers some good depth)

Ruiner (Cyberpunk Hotline Miami) comes out in 2 days.

I tried to give some various genres.
