I don't know what 343's plan is here, but I hope they have one. If we're going to MCC after Atlanta, there will be no h2a, h3, or h2c hardcore playlist. In their community spotlight they announced that these will be the only ranked playlists. I understand the population is super low and you can barely get games, but if HCS is actually moving to MCC these playlists will get a solid bump in population. Just put one hardcore playlist in for whatever game we're playing and this should fix all of the issues. (If 2019 is all h3 2v2 may god help us)

  • Halo CE Team Doubles
  • Halo 2 Classic Team Arena
  • Halo 2 Anniversary Team Arena
  • Halo 3 Team Arena
  • Halo 3 Hardcore Team Doubles
  • Halo 3 Lone Wolves (6 player).

@Tashi (idk if that even tags or not, have never done it before) Can you update on this? I'm beginning to get very worried that Halo Esports is going to be completely neglected until Halo Infinite. We finally have our shit together in terms of production for events and content from the HCS twitter and to abandon whats left of the player base by removing all of their playlists doesn't seem like a very good idea to me.

obviously this mean we will have a 2v2 h3 and CE league. /s

Snip

Two things. First of all, tagging somebody like you did will give them a similar notification like a quote. So he'll see somebody mentioned him and go follow a link to your comment.

Second, I've stated this opinion before so I apologize for repeating myself. But I honestly think the HCS is completely done until Infinite. Maybe they invest in a lot of Microsoft Store tournaments, maybe they invest in things like Beach LAN or UGC to hold small to mid size tournaments.

But the HCS as we know it I think is dead until Infinite. So there's no need for tournament playlists. No sources from me, just my thoughts.

Nope. I think Red Dead is one of the best implementations. Its open world enough to give you a sense of scale and let you tool around on your own enough, but also on rails enough to keep the narrative going in a purposeful direction. A lot of open world games are TOO open imo. In those you keep doing stuff because you keep getting distracted. You can get away from the main story for so long that when you go back to it you don't feel invested anymore. In Red Dead you keep doing stuff because you are driven to do stuff. Horizon Zero Dawn pulled this off pretty well too (as well as building a slick as hell world). Even if you're not into open world RPGs, i would still give Horizon Zero Dawn and RDR2 a shot.

The Ogres have been grinding H3 off-stream on alt-tags to show up at the 2v2 and dominate.

Why do none of you verified folk come in here and brag when you have cool stuff to talk about. Congrats on the new position, I was hoping it wouldn't effect you going to Atlanta. We need to get you in our Beyond family photo.

I had this dream too!

Ogre 2 has all sights set on closing out games against Tox & Splyce. Love watching their scrims because they leave no stone unturned.

The weirdest (realistic) possible outcome of the final H5 event would be Rec winning and Tox placing 3rd

There is no doubt in my mind Tox is taking home the check. But i'll never wish against an upset or underdog making it through!

personally i think the weirdest and most realistic outcome would be splyce not getting top 4. That being said none of these are very realistic. Im just thinking this because splyce other than like eco havent played 1 game of halo 5 since cod came out, and they used to play a lot of it individually when they were winning.

Once again, Ninja refuses to grind for the 2v2 event and plays BR games on stream instead and just leaves Victory X out to dry. I’m honestly just sick of it. #JusticeForVictory

Looks like the switch to cod was somewhat short lived?

Who is everyone's picks to win the H3 2v2 at Dreamhack?

Neighbor & Bestman?

Flamesword & Roy?

Gabriel & Fantasy?

Evadur?

Totz and Soviet? Mackeo?

Don't tease me with a Mackeo comeback. I recently finished watching 2007's events for the first time and I think the gameplay I saw from him there plus his faces in H3 might make him one of my five favorite players of all time. Seeing him team with Victory X for a 2v2 event in any game would make me so happy.

It's MCC, but it sounds like we may be able to get some Halo 1 in if people are interested.

I believe so
I looked on Twitter, but couldn't find out what happened. Vegas is early December so no conflict with Dreamhack... :/

Teddy and Ramby were their 4th and 5th, since shottzy isn't 18 until July 4.

Scrims were not going very good from what I saw and a not very good performance in the 1st 2k. Teddy and Ramby probably decided waiting to see how long it took the halo guys to get used to cod wasn't worth the risk. That's just a random guess though. Could be completely wrong.
