Nintendo Direct made a splash with Bethesda titles coming to the Switch. In addition to Skyrim getting a November 12 release date, two of the publisher’s shooters are coming to the Nintendo portable: Doom and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
Doom made waves in 2016 in its incredible graphical (and incredibly graphic) presentation. A reboot of an essential classic, Doom received high praise from critics and consumers alike. Wolfenstein II, a sequel to another classical reboot, is coming out this fall for next-gen platforms. Wolfenstein follows the story of B.J. Blazcowicz and his allies’ struggle against an alternate-history Nazi empire after the Second World War. The New Colossus takes place in 1961, where Nazis have fully assumed control of the United States homeland. The Nintendo Switch is about to get a bump in the Mature rating section.
Both of these titles can be expected in 2018, with Doom specifically slated for “Winter”. Once specific dates are out there, we’ll be sure to update.
