Destiny 2 PC Frame Rate Not Locked at 60FPS

[Update] New Destiny 2 PC news has just arrived, as Luke Smith has confirmed that Destiny 2 on PC will not share the same September 8th release date as the Xbox One and PS4 consoles. He believes a release date for PC will be set in the coming weeks.

Destiny 2 has been officially unveiled to the world, and players are currently getting their hands on the game to learn about new features and additions. A big topic on everyone’s mind is Destiny 2 on PC. What sort of graphic capabilities and features can we expect?

According to professional Halo player, Ninja, the PC version of Destiny 2 (played via Blizzard’s Battle.net) will not be locked at 60FPS and will allow for numerous graphical enhancements based on the rig the game is played on.

According to Glixel, these are some of the features available with Destiny 2’s PC release.

  • 4k Resolution Support (3820×2160)
  • Uncapped framerate
  • Full mouse and keyboard support with custom key mapping
  • Text chat
  • Adjustable Field of View
  • Detailed PC settings screen
  • 21:9 monitor support

 

According to our sources, Bungie employees refused to comment on the frame rate of Destiny 2 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
