Destiny 2 launches on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4. Currently, an Open Beta is live for PC players. However, Destiny fans are still curious about what lies ahead, beyond the release of Bungie’s upcoming sequel. Destiny 2 currently has two planned expansions, releasing in Winter 2017 and Spring 2018. Today, Kotaku released Destiny DLC information about the first DLC, to be titled The Curse of Osiris.
The Curse of Osiris is said to revolve around Osiris, the mysterious Destiny character (a rogue space Warlock studying the Vex) cut from the original game and teased throughout Grimoire lore. The story of the expansion will revolve around rescuing Osiris from the time-traveling robotic Vex race. It is also said to contain an new Patrol zone—Mercury—which would add a new planet to Destiny 2’s current repertoire of 4 explorable locations.
The Lighthouse, an exclusive social space visited by top tier PvP players in Destiny 1, is also rumored to return in some fashion in the Curse of Osiris expansion for the game. The expansion is said to release at some point in December, three months after Destiny 2’s launch. Expansion Pass and DLC information is available on Destiny’s official game page.
