Destiny 1’s PlayStation exclusive content (born out of Sony and Activision’s publishing partnership) has become available for Xbox players, more than two years after its original release.
PlayStation Guardians got their hands on bonus content in Destiny’s two year-by-year expansions—The Taken King and Rise of Iron. These exclusive items included armor sets, Exotic weapons, Crucible (PVP) maps, as well as exclusive Strikes and quests. Originally, the exclusives released in The Taken King were expected to become available to Xbox in 2016 alongside the release of Rise of Iron, but Activision and Sony secretly pushed their release into 2017, after the launch of Destiny 2.
As of October 3rd, the following content that was once only available to PlayStation is now available on Xbox consoles:
Although this delayed content drop has been extremely frustrating for many members of the Destiny community, the content is now available to enjoy one final time before Destiny 1 fades into legacy game status.
