After receiving a new development documentary today, it’s obviously Call of Duty season. Thanks to early retail listings in the UK, we now have more details regarding the Xbox One X version of Call of Duty: WWII—the game will be playable in 4K resolution with High Dynamic Range (HDR) capabilities.
Images that surfaced show Xbox box art with the technical features highlighted. Given PlayStation’s level of exclusivity with the Call of Duty franchise, it’s no surprise such details for Xbox have been more or less subdued. Once the Xbox One X hits shelves November 7, it’s assumed players can play the game in its full glory. The newest Xbox iteration looks to enhance a variety of existing titles and offer gamers the most powerful console on the market.
Call of Duty: WWII releases worldwide November 3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This year, Sledgehammer Games takes the franchise back to its roots in the European theater of World War II. Players are going to see a return of traditional boots-on-ground combat, Nazi Zombies mode, and a multiplayer off the heels of a successful console beta. A PC beta is scheduled for September 29 to run through October 2.
