For the folks at Activision, it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Starting on Thursday, December 15th, anyone can play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare at no additional cost—regardless of platform— which extends through the 20th. Downloading the trial lets you play two missions of the campaign, Zombies until level 3, and multiplayer until level 15. The teaser can be found here, which Activision posted in their blog.
The publisher’s tagline, “‘Tis the Season for Call of Duty,” offers a lineup of holiday goodies for franchise enthusiasts. Weapons, Salvage and Key bonuses, and other personalization items can be earned by logging in every day from December 21st through January 1st. Holiday-themed map updates hit both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered as well, Crash on MWR gets a total Christmas makeover under a night sky, with IW’s Genesis receiving a similar treatment. Winter Crash will also have a special 24/7 playlist running on MWR from December 20 through the rest of 2016.
In addition to the Winter Crash update to MWR, the final six maps launch December 13th. Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike, and (fan favorite) Wet Work make their remastered debut alongside two game modes: Hardpoint and Gun Game. Now would be a great time to revisit both titles released this year in the Call of Duty-sphere, as Activision looks to spread holiday cheer.
